1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using LookupThisIP.com ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use this Service.

2. Description of Service

LookupThisIP.com provides free IP address lookup services, including but not limited to:

• IP geolocation information
• Network information (hostname, ISP, organization)
• Security checks including Real-time Blackhole List (RBL) verification
• Interactive mapping of IP locations

3. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any local, state, national, or international law
• Harass, abuse, or harm another person or entity
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Use automated systems or software to extract data from the Service (scraping)
• Exceed the rate limits imposed by the Service
• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Transmit any malicious code, viruses, or harmful components

4. Rate Limiting

To ensure fair usage and service availability for all users, we implement rate limiting:

• IP lookups: Maximum 10 requests per minute
• RBL checks: Maximum 5 requests per 5 minutes

Exceeding these limits may result in temporary suspension of access.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by LookupThisIP.com and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

6. Third-Party Services

Our Service uses third-party services for various functionalities:

• IP geolocation data from ip-api.com
• Map tiles from OpenStreetMap
• Various RBL providers for security checks

These third-party services have their own terms of service and privacy policies which apply to their respective services.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of IP geolocation data
• The accuracy of RBL/blacklist status
• The continuous, uninterrupted, or secure access to the Service
• The fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement

8. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL LOOKUPTHISIP.COM, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION:

• Loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses
• Resulting from your use or inability to use the Service
• Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers
• Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Service

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless LookupThisIP.com and its licensees and licensors, and their employees, contractors, agents, officers and directors, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees).

10. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs the Site and informs users of our data collection practices.

11. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Service (or any part thereof) with or without notice at any time. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Delaware.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect.
